When Jimmie Johnson returns to NASCAR Cup Series action at Indianapolis for the Brickyard 400, he will have a special paint scheme. The Carvana design was created by none other than his daughters Genevieve and Lydia.

This is a paint scheme that will be special to Jimmie Johnson and his entire family. With his daughters adding their own flare and style to the Carvana No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE, it is the perfect Father’s Day tribute.

The Brickyard 400 isn’t this weekend, but Carvana and Johnson wanted to make this announcement in time for Father’s Day. It will be a lot of fun to see it on the track.

Jimmie Johnson talked about what the scheme means to him as well.

“I’m so excited to reveal Carvana’s 2024 Brickyard 400 paint scheme,” Johnson said in a video. “This year we partnered with some very special artists to honor fathers everywhere for Father’s Day. Being the dad of two girls is the best thing ever. I’m Superman at all times.

“Looking at the paint scheme for the first time, I am so thrilled that the two artists crushed it. … With the emotional attachment, this is the top of the list. My family is everything to me. Their involvement to create this paint scheme is quite special and I can’t wait to drive this car. Happy Father’s Day to fathers out there everywhere.”

Since returning with Legacy Motor Club last year, Jimmie Johnson has tried his hardest to get going again in the Cup Series. Just on a part-time basis, of course. At 48 years old he’s in great shape, but not being in the car every week means he is not running as well as he would like to.

In eight starts since 2023, he has a best finish of P28, twice. He was fantastic in the Duel race at Daytona this season, battling JJ Yeley for the final transfer spot and making skilled moves on the superspeedway.

However, things have not translated into better results. We are still weeks away from Indianapolis, but this is going to be a big deal for Johnson and his team. Honestly, with the experience he has on the track, he might do better than expected.

Jimmie Johnson is racing because he enjoys it. As a team owner now it also helps him remain involved with the competition side of things intimately. That can go a long way in zeroing in on setups and just having more data overall on the Next Gen car.

Fans have a chance to see Johnson race four more times this season. The Seven-Time champion scheduled himself for nine races total in 2024.
