JJ Yeley apologizes for NSFW interview after being wrecked at Turkey Night Grand Prix
Last night at Ventura Raceway, JJ Yeley lost his cool after being wrecked in the USCS feature race by David Gasper. Gasper, the USCS Rookie of the Year, did a good deal of damage to Yeley’s car and took him out of the race.
After being wrecked, JJ Yeley threatened to fight Gasper and dropped a few NSFW words. A couple of F-bombs may have been dropped.
After he calmed down a bit, Yeley apologized on social media about the interview. Although, I’m not sure too many people were upset about it. It is still a great gesture for him to make.
“My apologies to all watching [FloRacing] this evening … I was a little upset and my language was a little dirty.. but here is the end result for someone else’s stupidity…” Yeley wrote on X/Twitter.
Gasper wrecked Yeley. Then, the racing veteran threw his steering wheel at the No. 18 machine. Twice. One direct hit, and one just to the outside.
JJ Yeley has been in racing for a long time. He knows a racing deal from being done wrong. As one of only six Triple Crown winners, he should be respected. While he got a little heated, you can’t blame him for what he said in the moment.

JJ Yeley tosses his steering wheel, cuts WWE promo
After practicing his discus throw, Yeley spoke to the pit reporter. It was a strongly-worded warning to Gasper.
“You know, yesterday we spun out and we got in a wreck. He hit me head-on, wide-open never lifted,” Yeley said on the FloRacing broadcast. “Then right there, I don’t know what the f*** he was thinking. I mean, we’re running fifth there’s 10 laps to go, just threw a divebomb in there and wrecked me. So, he’s Rookie of the Year, but somebody needs to beat the s**t out of him. If they don’t stop me I’ll be the first to f***ing do it.”
Last night was a fun night of racing. USCS and USAC put on two solid feature races. While the track rubbered up a bit too much in the final race of the night, drivers left it all out on the track.
JJ Yeley was wrecked and acted accordingly. 48 years old against an 18 or 19-year-old kid. While things didn’t escalate into fists and wrestling on the ground, a clear message was sent.
