Joe Burrow unveils bleach-blonde buzz cut at Bengals training camp
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has a surprising new look for the 2024 NFL season. As Burrow was reporting to training camp, he was seen with a bleach-blonde buzz cut. When social media saw the new haircut and hair color, Burrow was being compared to hip-hop legend Eminem and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
It’s not clear why Burrow got rid of the longer and darker hair, but maybe the new look means the Bengals finally get over the hump and win their first Super Bowl. When speaking to reporters earlier this year, Burrow talked about putting on more weight.
“We’re bigger. Definitely bigger,” he said, per the Bengals’ official website. “We’ll see where I’m at the end of the offseason. I feel good about where my body is right now … I’m eating more, I’m more dialed as far as nutrition and food schedule and eating when I need to so that’s been a big area of emphasis for me and I’ve seen the results.”
Burrow also shared his thoughts on what the Bengals need to improve on for the 2024 season. “We weren’t consistent enough. We weren’t explosive enough,” he said. “We really weren’t good enough in just about any aspect. So there were lots of areas to improve, including myself and across all the areas of the team … However the season plays out, we’re going to continue to adapt as a team and get better each day.”

Joe Burrow revaled his main focus during the offseason
The 2023 season was challenging for Burrow. He only played in 10 games because he suffered an injury in November and was ruled out for the remainder of the season. Earlier this month, the LSU Tigers alum spoke to Complex Sports about what he wants to improve on for the upcoming season.
“Number one, I want to be on the field for all the games,” Burrow said. “I know I’m going to play well when I’m out there. I’m at that point in my career where I’ve seen enough ball and I know myself that I can go out there and play as well as anybody in the game. The biggest strides this year are going to be my body and learning how to get through the season, get through practices with my body, feeling tip-top shape. And so that’s the main focus for the off-season.”
