Joel Klatt predicts Florida vs. Georgia game, other notable Week 10 games
Week 10 of the college football season represents the end of the regular season getting closer and closer. Raising the stakes for a multitude of games across the country as conference championship and College Football Playoff hopes alike are both on the line for the nation’s top teams.
College football fans will also have another opportunity to raise the stakes of Saturday’s game on their own. With Week 10 also representing another chance for bettors to place wagers and win big by making the right moves off the field.
College football analyst Joel Klatt has been making his picks for the top games all season long, boasting an impressive 30-18 record against the spread. Check out his picks and score predictions for each of Saturday’s top matchups below.
Ohio State at Penn State (+3.5)
This Big Ten matchup headlines the weekend with the No. 4 ranked Buckeyes visiting the No. 3 Nittany Lions. A game Klatt didn’t make a pick on due to being on the broadcast team, but hinted at several factors that could give Penn State a potential advantage and their second win over Ohio State in 10 years.
“Penn State is an underdog in this game,” Klatt said. “But man this feels like a matchup that’s starting to favor them because of injuries to the offensive line, and because Beau Pribula and his skill set I think it better suited to face a defense that clearly now wants to be aggressive and run man coverage.”
Oregon at Michigan (+15.5)
Klatt believes that the top-ranked Ducks are trending in the opposite direction of the defending national champions. Picking Oregon to win and cover on the road against a Michigan team still trying to find an offensive identity and an unquestioned signal caller.
“They’re getting better, and better, and better every single week and look at all these question marks for Michigan. I just don’t know if Michigan can score enough in this game to cover the 15.5,” Klatt said. “I like Oregon, and I think this is generous, I like Oregon winning this one 34-17.
Indiana at Michigan State (+7.5)
Indiana has been one of the biggest surprises of the college football season, undefeated and ranked No. 13 in the nation. Also notably ranking third in the FBS in point differential ahead of a game at Michigan State where Klatt thinks they can continue to win big.
“I think Indiana wins the game by about 10 or more, that’s what they’ve done every single week … I like them winning by ten 31-21 and Michigan State plays pretty well, maybe there’s a mistake here or there. But the Hoosiers get the win and they cover the 7.5,” Klatt said.

Florida vs. Georgia (-16.5)
Georgia and Florida will meet in Jacksonville once again for their historic SEC rivalry game. A series that the Bulldogs have recently dominated and enter this matchup heavily favored, but will not cover the spread in according to Klatt.
“I think Florida’s playing better than people realize, I think that Georgia could be overlooking Florida possibly,” Klatt said. “I’ve got a Georgia win 31-17 and I like Florida to cover the 16.5.”
Texas A&M at South Carolina (+2.5)
Texas A&M is one of the hottest teams in the nation, with seven straight wins heading into a road matchup in Columbia. But Klatt forecasts a home upset victory for South Carolina this weekend and the first SEC loss of the season for the Aggies.
“I’ve got South Carolina in this game, I think that this is a game that is a stumbling block game for A&M,” Klatt said. “South Carolina is playing better, I like their defense, South Carolina is getting 2.5. I’m taking the points and I’ve got a Gamecock win outright, 28-24.”
Pittsburgh at SMU (-7.5)
A high-stakes ranked ACC matchup rounds out Klatt’s top games of the week between two of the few undefeated teams in conference play this season. A game that he thinks the Mustangs will win and cover in at home thanks to their depth at quarterback as both teams have question marks at the position.
“I like SMU at home, I think SMU wins the game. They’re favored by 7.5, I think that they win by 10, they’re gonna cover the 7.5. With the quarterback issues, maybe a low-scoring game, like 24-14 right in there,” Klatt said.
