Joel Klatt has predicted which team will win Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans this Sunday. On The Joel Klatt Show, the Fox Sports college football analyst said the Kansas City Chiefs will defeat the Philadelphia Eagles but also said he would have loved to see the Buffalo Bills make it.

“I know everyone’s disappointed that the Bills aren’t in there. I get it. I’ve been talking with people,” Klatt said. I’m a little biased in this regard, I would have loved to seen Josh Allen because I think he’s a tremendous player. But I’m never going to turn down an opportunity to watch Patrick Mahomes play football.

“I love watching that guy play football. Does he get a favorable whistle at times? Sure, sure, he does. But is he brilliant? Yes. Is he probably one of the two or three best in the history of the game? Absolutely, and I think that will be further cemented this year.”

Joel Klatt explains why he’s picking the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX

Klatt went on to explain why he believes the Chiefs will win. “I think that the Chiefs win. This is a better Chiefs team overall, and Mahomes is more healthy than a year ago, so I think they’re going to get the job done. I get it, the Eagles are playing great. I think Jalen Hurts is tremendous, I think Saquon Barkley is having an incredible year. In a lot of ways, he’s having one of the great modern running-back years that we’ve ever seen. I think he’s been absolutely tremendous.

“Is it going to be difficult? Yes. Steve Spagnuolo though, if you leave him and Andy Reid out there with an opportunity for two weeks to gameplan and they’ve got Patrick Mahomes and that defense, I think that the Chiefs win. I’m going to take the Chiefs, I think the Chiefs win it by seven. I’ve got 27-20, the Kansas City Chiefs become the first team in the history of the National Football League to three-peat.”

The Chiefs are playing in their fifth Super Bowl in six seasons and have won three titles in that span. The Eagles are playing in their second Super Bowl in three years, losing to the Chiefs in the big game during the 2022 season.
