Joey Logano meeting President Donald Trump in celebration of 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship

Joey Logano will visit the White House and meet with President Donald Trump on Wednesday in celebration of his 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship, per Jerry Jordan of Kickin’ The Tires. Logano and Trump will meet at the South Portico for a photo op.
The event will last 30 minutes and be open to the White House Press Pool, Jordan noted. Other racing champions will join Logano in meeting with Trump.
Logano, 34, is the first NASCAR Champion to visit the White House since May 2019, when Logano himself met with Trump in recognition of his 2018 Championship. Then, he was joined by his wife Brittany and Team Penske owner Roger Penske.
“They’re winners, right,” Trump said at the time. “The team is a winner and NASCAR is a winner.”
Trump, sworn into office for his second term in January, made an appearance at the Daytona 500 in February. Trump did a flyover in Air Force One over Daytona International Speedway and took a lap around the racetrack in “The Beast.”
Joey Logano to be recognized for third Cup Series Championship
Logano is a three-time Cup Series Champion after his latest triumph at Phoenix this past November. Despite having an average finish of 17.1 — the worst of any driver in a championship-winning season — Logano won four races, three coming throughout the 10-race postseason. Logano has simply mastered the elimination style playoff format, adopted back in 2014.

As for those who questioned the legitimacy of Logano’s championship, he simply did not care. He got the trophy and that’s what matters.
“No. I got nothing to say to them,” Logano said after winning at Phoenix. “I’ve got a pretty sweet trophy right now. I’m gonna be laughing all the way to the bank.”
Logano currently sits ninth in the points standings eight races through the 2025 season. He has led 260 laps, third most among drivers.
