Joey Logano rips Austin Cindric after Bubba Wallace stage win: ‘You dumb f**k’

Coming to the end of Stage 2, multiple drivers and teams were vying for the stage win. Joey Logano lost out to Bubba Wallace. It all happened after Austin Cindric had to check up while trying to push Logano. The three-time NASCAR champion lost it on the radio.
When Austin Cindric slowed up, it killed Joey Logano’s speed. Bubba Wallace went on to win the stage without much of a challenge from Logano.
On the radio, Joey was furious. He really let his teammate have it.
“Way to go Austin, way to go, you dumb f***!” Joey Logano said, via Jeff Gluck of The Athletic. “Way to f***ing go. What a stupid s**t. You just gave it to him. Gave a Toyota a stage win. Nice job. Way to go. What a dumbass. Put that in the book again.”
So… Joey Logano is not happy. I think he will get over it quickly. After all, he has to focus up and try to win this final stage which would mean winning the race itself. He picked up good stage points there; losing out on that stage win isn’t going to make or break his season.
This Talladega race has been interesting. We saw the 23XI Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing Toyotas pull away in Stage 1 by themselves. It forced the pace to pick up and actually created a little chaos.

Joey Logano still looking for great finish in 2025
Despite being top-10 in points this season, Joey Logano does not have the finishes to show for it. Part of his frustration with Austin Cindric may have to do with the fact that he only has one top-10 finish this season.
Logano and Team Penske are off to a slow start again. In the playoff era, that doesn’t matter much. We have seen how Logano and Ryan Blaney are able to turn things up late in the season. That doesn’t help the frustrations that these teams are experiencing right now, though.
Cindric said he checked up so he wouldn’t wreck his teammate. You have to think that Logano would prefer losing the stage over being wrecked out of the race. It would have been a big one, too.
While Joey Logano is pissed off, he has more racing to do. Talladega does not give mercy and if these drivers aren’t on their toes as the laps wind down, we could see a lot more frustrated teams before the race is over.
