Joey Porter Jr injury: Steelers give update on star CB vs. Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is out for the remainder of the second half against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, the team announced. Porter injured his calf in the first half.
Porter returned to the field for the start of the second half, and appeared to re-tweak the injury sometime early in the third quarter after a tackle on Ravens tight end Mark Andrews. In the first half, Porter had gone out and been in and out of the injury tent on the sideline getting treatment.
In his place, the Steelers played second year corner Cory Trice.
The Steelers quickly tied the game at 17-17 early in the second half before Baltimore drove down to take a 24-17 lead in response.
Baltimore extended it’s lead early in the fourth quarter, when Marlon Humphrey returned an interception for a touchdown to give the Ravens a 31-17 lead with just more than 10 minutes to play.
The Ravens would tack on a field goal to win, 34-17.
Lamar Jackson finished 15-of-23 for 207 yards and three touchdowns and interception. Derrick Henry added 162 yards on 24 carries. Russell Wilson went 22-for-33 for 217 yards and two touchdowns plus his own interception. The Steelers struggled to run the ball, with Jaylen Warren leading the way with 12 carries for 48 yards.

Baltimore RB Justice Hill suffered a scary-looking concussion
Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill was ruled out for the remainder of a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers after suffering a concussion in the second quarter. Hill appeared to be knocked out on the play.
Hill took a routine carry down the left sideline for a first down before he was undercut by a defender. And he continued moving ahead at speed, he was upended and landed solidly on his head before lying motionless for a period.
After a lengthy injury timeout, Hill was shown up and walking to the locker room under his own power. He was shortly after ruled out with a concussion.
Hill had two carries for 30 yards when he went out with his concussion. Baltimore took a 14-7 lead to finish the drive after he left the game.
