WATCH: John Harbaugh and Marcus Peters have sideline shouting match during loss
As the Ravens came off the field to watch the Bills kick a game-winning field goal, Marcus Peters was caught shouting at coach John Harbaugh. The Bills completed their second-half comeback with the field goal make as time expired, handing the Ravens their second loss of the season after entering halftime with a 20-3 lead.
John Harbaugh and Marcus Peters get into it on the sideline
The Ravens collapsed against Buffalo in the second half, and the former Washington Huskies star and former first-round draft pick couldn’t contain his emotions on the field. The broadcast managed to catch a piece of the shouting match, as Peters was held back by his teammates and coaches from approaching Harbaugh.
Although it was not immediately clear what started the argument, the most likely source of Peters’ anger was a decision Harbaugh made on the previous drive. With the game tied at 20-20, the Ravens drove 93 yards down the field to the Bills’ two-yard line. On fourth-and-goal from the two-yard line, the Ravens opted to try and pass it into the end zone instead of kicking the go-ahead field goal in a tie game.
The play ended with an interception by Lamar Jackson and gave Buffalo the ball back with just over four minutes in the game with a 20-20 tie. If Peters shared the sentiment that many Baltimore fans had, it’s likely that his outburst came as a result of his coach’s questionable play-calling with the game on the line.

After the game, Harbaugh commented briefly on the moment — stating that he felt Peters didn’t cross any lines. According to Harbaugh, their relationship as coach and player is honest enough for Peters to be able to speak his mind.
“We’re on the same page. We have an honest relationship. I love Marcus Peters. I hope he still loves me,” said Harbaugh after the game.
