Jon Rahm caught dropping F-bomb on hot mic at BMW Championship
Jon Rahm has long been known as one of the more fiery players on the golf course. He’s not afraid to let his emotions show while on the course … and a hot mic located on a tee box at the BMW Championship over the weekend caught one of Rahm’s moments.
Whole on the tee box at No. 17 in Thursday’s opening round, Rahm hit a drive that he didn’t really like. And he let everyone know about it. After ripping the drive, the 2023 winner of The Masters yelled, “F***!” He topped it off with a “G** damnit!” for good measure.
The hot mics captured all of it, too:
This isn’t really an uncommon occurrence for Rahm — which isn’t a bad thing. Golf — any sport, really — is more enjoyable and fun when players show emotion. And with Rahm in the race of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup playoffs, you can understand why he might be upping the intensity level.
Rahm ended the tournament shooting even par and tying for 31st place. He currently sits in fourth place in the standings, behind Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy.
Hovland walked away from the weekend as the winner of the BMW Championship. He carded a -17 for the tournament, defeating Matt Fitzpatrick and Scheffler by two strokes (-15).

Hot mics pick up Jon Rahm’s F-bomb at The Open Championship
Remember when we said this isn’t an uncommon occurrence for Rahm? The PGA Tour star was also caught dropping an F-bomb during the Open Championship in July.
In the first round of the major championship, Rahm’s frustrations hit a peak on the 10th hole after missing a short par putt. The two-time major champion then shouted, “F***!” which was followed by a hilarious apology from the broadcaster on Peacock.
We’re starting to sense a theme when things don’t go quite right for Rahm on the golf course.
Although Rahm was frustrated during the first round at The Open last month, he rebounded quite nicely. After shooting a 3-over-par to start the tournament in the first round, he carded a -10 for the remaining three rounds, finishing the event at -7.
That score was good enough for a four-way tie for second, along with Jason Day, Tom Kim and Sapp Straka. It was Rahm’s best finish in the Open Championship in his career.
Brian Harman claimed the Claret Jug with an impressive -13 for the tournament.
