Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons posed the question to Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love: Who is someone around the league that you would like to see come to Green Bay?

Love thought about it for a second, before taking a look at the man sitting next to him. That happened to be Parsons, who was speaking with Love on a live edition of his “The Edge” podcast.

“I mean, there’s a dude sitting right next to me. That’d be pretty cool,” Love said. “That’d be pretty cool, no? You don’t think so? How you feel about that, what would your take be on coming to Green Bay?”

Love’s idea wasn’t met with approval from the audience, who booed him immediately.

“Too many Cowboys fans in the audience. Too many Cowboys fans, my fault,” Love said.

Once the boos died down, Parsons finally addressed Love’s offer. Parsons gave the ol’ “thanks, but no thanks.”

“I’m in one of those Druski 360 deals, you feel me? I’m a for-lifer. I can’t go nowhere,” Parsons said. “Me and Jerry Jones done talked — that’s my dawg.”

Report: Dallas Cowboys have had discussions over Micah Parsons, decision to pay or trade him

It was worth the shot for Love, as the Packers are in desperate need of pass rush help this offseason. But as he was with Love, Parsons has been open about his desire to stay with the Cowboys for the length of his NFL career.

His exchange with Love came before Sunday’s report from Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. According to the pair of insiders’ report, there has been discussion behind the scenes in Dallas on whether or not to deal him or keep him in-house. Parsons is set to make $24 million on his fifth-year option year in 2025.

“While there have been no trade talks, sources say there have at least been some internal discussions about whether to pay Parsons or trade him for a king’s ransom,” Pelissero and Rapoport wrote. “If the Cowboys are willing to listen, they may get it.”

The report reiterated that Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said back in December that he “can’t imagine there’s a scenario where he’s not wearing a star on his helmet.” Based on the report from Pelissero and Rapoport, this may no longer be the case if they’re weighing their options with the four-time Pro Bowler.
