Jordan Love injury update: Adam Schefter reveals latest update on Packers QB ahead of Vikings game
After missing each of the last two games, Jordan Love could be returning this weekend for the Green Bay Packers.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter gave an update on Love’s potential availability for Sunday against Minnesota during an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ on Friday. As of now, he expects him to make his return to the field. That’s not definite as of now but is how he sees it ahead of kickoff for that divisional game.
“My guess and sense is we get Love but I think they just want to see how he gets through the week,” said Schefter. “They want to see how his knee responds.”
Green Bay might already have a sense that Love will be back this weekend. They could just be keeping it to themselves while also continuing to be cautious with him going into the game.
“Matt LeFleur yesterday said that they’re ready to take this up to game-time because there’s really no benefit in them saying right now, ‘Well, okay, Jordan looks and feels great and he’s starting’. They’re just not going to do that,” said Schefter. “I think part of that is gamesmanship and part of it is they do want to make sure, with the conservative training staff that they have, that he is okay to play on Sunday.”

Love left towards the end of the opener in Brazil against the Eagles after spraining his MCL. Before exiting, he was 17/34 (50%) for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
Since then, Malik Willis has started and helped them to both of their victories on the season. Willis is 25/33 (75.8%) for 324 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has also rushed a dozen times for 114 yards and another score.
There’s still two days in between now and then but, as of now, Schefter is expecting Love to be back this weekend for the Packers.
“My guess and sense is, yes, it’ll be Jordan Love but I don’t think it’s certain just yet,” Schefter said.
