Jordan Love injury update: Green Bay Packers reveal optimistic outlook on star QB, per report
There seems to be good news about the injury Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love suffered during Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Love will undergo tests on his injured groin on Monday, but there’s “optimism he avoided a long-term injury.”
Love tweaked his groin early in the second half and, Malik Willis took over. The Packers took down Jacksonville 30-27 but will need all the help they can get next Sunday since they are facing the Detroit Lions.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur shared an update on Love. “Obviously high level of concern …. I think everybody could see him struggling to move around and I just got to a point where we didn’t, he didn’t feel like he could protect himself,” LaFleur said.
The 2024 season has been an interesting one for Love. In the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Utah State alum sprained his knee and missed the next two games. And before the groin injury on Sunday, Love seemed to be favoring his left leg. When healthy, Love has played like a top NFL QB, completing 61.5 percent of his passes for 1,351 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions in five games.

Jordan Love talks about facing ‘pressure’ after signing contract extension
In July, Love spoke to reporters about signing a four-year $220 million contract extension after having a breakout 2023 season. “Being a first-round pick, there’s pressure,” he said, per ESPN. “Becoming the starter, there’s pressure, but there’s always pressure. I think that’s, you know, part of the job that we sign up for. You’ve got to find ways to deal with that pressure and handle it as best you can to be the best player you can be every day.
“But there’s always pressure. There’s no hiding that. … I’ve been in some great pressure situations, so I think there’s always going to be that. But just finding a way to navigate through this and handle it best I can.”.
