Jordan Love injury update: NFL insider offers surprising update on Green Bay Packers QB
Jordan Love might be back sooner than expected, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. After suffering an MCL injury in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Love made significant progress.
In fact, the Tennessee Titans are preparing for two different quarterbacks. Former Titans quarterback Malik Willis is in line to start, but Love could find his way to the field.
Sounds like there’s a good chance Love can push it and make it back for the Week 3 tilt.
“This is shaping up to be a game time decision, a coach’s decision,” Fowler said on SportsCenter. “Right now, today, the Packers are monitoring that knee sprain. He practiced throughout the week, which is a good sign. They’re going to test him out, see how he feels throughout the weekend. They’re working on getting a medical clearance. He has not been cleared as of right now, to my knowledge.
“But keep in mind, as people point out to me, this week, the Packers are notoriously cautious with injuries. Typically, they don’t rush guys back. This is supposed to be a three to four week thing, but it looks like he’s responded well, seems to be trending up. I’m told the Titans are taking a wait and see approach. They are prepared for Jordan Love and Malik Willis.”
After he practiced in pads in a limited capacity this week, and his turn to being questionable for Sunday’s game, there’s plenty of optimism that Love will be back on the very front of his recovery timeline.

The Packers moved to 1-1 with a win in Week 2 as Willis led the offense to a win over the Colts. Willis is in line to get the start against his former team if Love cannot play.
Other than Love, only two other Packers enter the weekend with injury designations. Rookie offensive tackle Jordan Morgan is out after not practicing all week with a shoulder injury. And defensive back Carrington Valentine is doubtful with an ankle injury after he also didn’t practice this week.
Love was the only Packer limited on Friday who takes a designation into the weekend.Along with Love, the other limited participants were: Kenny Clark (toe), Josh Jacobs (back), Elgton Jenkins (illness/glute), Tucker Kraft (shoulder), Josh Myers (ankle), Jayden Reed (calf), Zach Tom (quad) and Rasheed Walker (shoulder).
