Jordan Love injury update: NFL insider reveals latest on Packers QB practice status
Green Bay Packers (6-2) quarterback Jordan Love was not on the practice field Wednesday, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
Love, who suffered a strained groin in Sunday’s 30-27 Week 8 road victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6), rode an exercise bike during team stretches and did not go outside with those practicing. Love was one of many Packers in the rehab area, including running back Josh Jacobs, cornerback Jaire Alexander, safety Evan Williams, left guard Elgton Jenkins, left tackle Rasheed Walker and center Josh Myers.
Love sustained the injury in the third quarter after taking a hit to the back. He previously went into the blue medical tent after suffering an injury in the first quarter. Love did not miss a snap and was back on the field for the Packers’ next offensive possession.
He was clearly not 100% upon returning, with head coach Matt LaFleur telling FOX that he “can’t really move,” per Zach Kruse of The Packers Wire.

Malik Willis replaced Love under center, completing 4-of-5 passes for 56 yards and a score. He added four carries for 23 yards. Willis filled in for Love earlier this season when the 25-year-old was out with a sprained MCL. He led Green Bay to wins over the Indianapolis Colts (4-4) and Tennessee Titans (1-6).

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said Love is “determined to play” in Sunday’s Week 9 home matchup against the Detroit Lions (6-1), a battle for first place in the NFC North.
“It’s just a groin strain,” Rapoport said Wednesday. “This is going to be a matter of doing rehab, getting treatment, working right up until game time, just seeing if he’s good enough to play. He is determined to play. He does not need to be 100% to play. That makes me believe that he’s got a really good chance.”
Love has thrown for 1,547 yards, 15 touchdowns and a league-leading nine interceptions in six games this season.
