Jordan Love injury update: Packers QBs status reportedly revealed for Sunday vs. Lions
Jordan Love, who was marked as questionable to play in Sunday’s Week 9 game between the Lions and Packers on Friday, is expected to start for Green Bay, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
“Packers QB Jordan Love — who’s listed as questionable with a groin injury — is expected to start Sunday’s game against the #Lions, per sources,” Pelissero posted on X. “No setbacks or surprises during the week, and Love is ready to roll with the NFC North lead on the line.”
That’s tremendous news for the Packers. Coach Matt LaFleur must be loving getting his quarterback on the field and healthy, ready to roll tomorrow afternoon. Malik Willis was ready just in case, but it doesn’t look like he’ll need to start.
Love suffered the strained groin he dealt with the past week during Sunday’s 30-27 Week 8 road victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He rode an exercise bike during team stretches and did not go outside with those practicing Wednesday, but he’s ready to rock for tomorrow.

The former first-round quarterback sustained the injury in the third quarter after taking a hit to the back. He previously went into the blue medical tent after suffering an injury in the first quarter. Love did not miss a snap and was back on the field for the Packers’ next offensive possession.
While the quarterback himself has called it less than ideal to not practice in preparation for a big-time matchup with their NFC North rivals, Jordan Love will be out there in Week 10. How effective he is remains to be seen, but it seems like there won’t be any restrictions.
