Jordan Love injury update: Packers QB practices ahead of potential Week 4 return
Green Bay Packers (2-1) quarterback Jordan Love was an active participant in Wednesday’s practice, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
Love, who suffered an MCL sprain in the 34-29 Week 1 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles (2-1), initially returned to practice last week. Now, it appears he’s ramping up his participation as he inches closer to a return to game action.
The Packers host the Minnesota Vikings (3-0) in Week 4 this Sunday, but it remains unknown if Love will play. Head coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that his status will be monitored “day-by-day.” Ian Rapoport of NFL Network said on “Good Morning Football” Wednesday that Love is trending towards making a comeback against Minnesota.
“It does seem like the Packers will have their quarterback back. Not for sure, for sure, but it’s as close as it has been,” said Ian Rapoport Wednesday on Good Morning Football. “He is healing quickly. He’s been back to practice, willing to play at less than 100%. Certainly makes sense that you will see him out there this week against the Vikings. We’ll see how the week of practice treats him.”

Jordan Love inching closer to Packers return
Malik Willis has gotten the start under center in Love’s absence, leading the Packers to back-to-back victories. Willis has thrown for 324 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions on 73.5% passing. He’s added 114 yards and a score on the ground.
“I just cannot articulate the job that he’s done in a short period of time. People can’t fathom that,” LaFleur said earlier this week. “I promise you, you guys don’t get it. I know you think you got it, but you don’t get it. What he’s been able to do, I’ve never seen something like this.”
