The Green Bay Packers left Brazil holding their breath due to the injury of quarterback Jordan Love. Late in the game, Love went down with what appeared to be a lower leg injury, with the official diagnosis being a PCL issue. Next up was hearing the timeline he would be out for.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Love is expected to miss between three and six weeks. He adds there is “early optimism” with the timeline being on the shorter end. A huge sigh of relief for the Packers as Love should be back at some point in 2024.

#Packers QB Jordan Love’s initial timetable for return is in the 3-6 week range, per sources,” Pelissero said via X. “And there’s some early optimism he could return sooner than later, pending a second opinion. Next three opponents: #Colts at home, at #Titans, #Vikings at home.”

Love was having a decent day against the Philadelphia Eagles before going down with the injury. While the 50% completion percentage is not great, Love threw for two touchdowns. An interception was thrown too as the Packers eventually fell.

Jordan Love is set to have tests on his knee when the Green Bay Packers quarterback and team land in a few hours, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

“Packers QB Jordan Love will have tests on his knee when the team lands in a few hours,” he wrote on Twitter. “At this point, the severity is unknown.”

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported an ankle injury is no longer on the table.

“When the Packers land, Jordan Love will get an MRI,” she wrote. “I’m told an ankle injury has been ruled out at this point. Right now, it’s just wait-and-see for more information on the injury.”

Love was injured on the penultimate play in the Packers’ 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles Friday night.
