Josh Allen revealed as Madden NFL 24 cover athlete
If you didn’t already think he was on that level, it’s time to start thinking of Josh Allen as one of the NFL’s premier superstars.
It was confirmed on Wednesday, as the Buffalo Bills quarterback will join a long list of legends to grace the Madden NFL video game franchise cover, as Allen was revealed as the athlete for Madden NFL 24.
Check out the video below, where EA Sports revealed the news that Allen is their guy, something that’ll get football fans around the globe fired up.
Alas, Allen has ascended to stardom over recent seasons due to his innate ability both throwing the football and utilizing his legs as a quarterback. The former first round pick is built more like a linebacker than anything, so it puts the fear of God into opposing defenses when he takes the field.
It’s helped Allen become wildly popular, and now he’ll do what few get the honor to do in the NFL, grace the cover of Madden. 2023 should be a tremendous season for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, and it’s already beginning with a bang.

More on Madden NFL Video Game Franchise
Moreover, John Madden himself graced the cover of Madden NFL 23, in honor of his decades of contributing to the game of football. It was one of the most well-received covers in the history of the game, and an emotional tribute for the video game namesake.
Prior, Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady shared the cover of Madden NFL 22 following their battle in the Super Bowl earlier that year. Both athletes also featured on the cover by themselves in previous editions, but they joined forces for a memorable iteration that season.
Additionally, Lamar Jackson took the NFL by storm when he became the Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback, and he was chosen to grace the cover of Madden NFL 21 afterwards. Jackson remains one of the most fun players to use in the game, and it’s no surprise he was chosen for the cover of the game early on in his career.
Over the past couple editions of Madden NFL, many have complained about the gameplay, as well as the lack of updates to key modes, such as the highly-popular Franchise mode. Time will tell if EA Sports fixes the bugs, but at least they’ll have a sweet cover for Madden NFL 24.
