Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen delivered yet another classic on Sunday in their AFC Divisional matchup in the 2025 NFL Playoffs. Ravens tight end Mark Andrews had a critical drop on a two-point conversion, and the Bills ran out the clock in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, as Buffalo came away with a 27-25 victory. In the end, both quarterbacks showed that they still have great respect for each other. They had a brief moment after the game where Jackson and Allen hugged each other.

Following the game, Josh Allen spoke with Tracy Wolfson on the field. What did he say to the Baltimore Ravens star?

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson share a mutual respect

“I’ve just got so much respect and love for him. The way he plays the game. He’s a true competitor. He’s a true football player. One of the greatest ever to step on the football field. So, nothing but love,” Allen explained.

When Allen saw Mark Andrews drop that two-point conversion, what was going through his head?

“How about that Buffalo Bills defense? All year this team has heard we’ve got no talent. We’re too small. We can’t stop the run. We’re not good enough to compete. We just put our head down and worked hard. I’m so proud of our defense. I’m so proud of our offense. Special teams. What a complete win. Honestly, on the offensive side of the ball, we wished we scored a little more, so we didn’t have to take it down to the fourth quarter like that. But that’s a really good team. Credit to them as well,” Allen continued.

The Bills will get yet another rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs. Why will it be different this time around for the Buffalo Bills?

“I can’t tell you that. I just know we’re gonna work hard. We had a heck of a win. We’re gonna enjoy this one tonight. Turn our attention to the Chiefs tomorrow. We know what they are. They’re the perennial, what you want to be in the NFL. You’ve got to beat them to get past them. We’re gonna enjoy this one tonight,” Allen explained.

Buffalo and Kansas City will face off on Sunday, January 26th in the AFC Championship Game. Kick will be set for 6:30 PM EST. The game will be played in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium.
