Josh Dobbs, Jauan Jennings forced to rock Arkansas gear after upset loss for Tennessee
One of the best modern traditions in the NFL is when players on the same team place friendly wagers with one another when their respective alma maters face off on Saturdays. With the losing party having to wear the apparel of the winning team in the facility and sometimes even on the podium in the following days.
Current San Fransisco 49ers and former Tennessee Volunteers Josh Dobbs and Jauan Jennings were the latest victims in the league after the Vols fell in upset fashion to Arkansas last Saturday. As former Razorbacks quarterback Brandon Allen made sure to provide some Arkansas gear for the two to sport follow the loss in a hilarious moment that can be seen below.
The Arkansas program may have played its part in Dobbs and Jennings’ punishment, with Allen holding a box that featured several different hat and shirt options for the two to uphold their end of the bargain. Choosing their gear and standing together for a video put together by Dobbs that featured the iconic somber tune from Titanic.
Tennessee’s 19-14 loss on the road at Arkansas on Saturday represented one of seven Top 25 ranked teams that fell in a surprising weekend of college football. Falling from No. 4 to No. 8 in the rankings as a result after Razorback fans stormed the field and tore down the goalposts in Fayetteville.

Jennings was selected by the 49ers with the No. 217 overall pick in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft and has since caught 120 passes for 1,561 yards and 11 touchdowns for the franchise. Three years earlier, Dobbs was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round and has since made stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and Minnesota Vikings before reuniting with Jennings in San Francisco this year.
