Sean Payton gives update on Josh Reynolds
Reynolds was on injured reserve during the shooting after suffering an injured finger against the Las Vegas Raiders in early October. “Definitely a crazy situation where we could have lost one of our teammates in an incident like that,” Broncos offensive lineman Garrett Bolles said last week, per 9News in Denver. “I love Josh. I’m super close to him. I don’t want to say too much on it because I know it’s up to the authorities here in Denver and let them handle the situation and hopefully justice is given to the people who were involved in the incident but I’m just thankful.”
“Josh Reynolds last week was involved in a very serious incident. … I’m kind of like you where I’ve got the initial details … He’s fortunate,” Broncos head coach Sean Payton said. “I’ve had a chance to talk with him. He was pretty shaken up and I’ll leave it at that.”
Reynolds signed with the Broncos in March after spending nearly three seasons with the Detroit Lions. He began is NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams as the team selected him in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Once Reynolds’ rookie contract expired, the Texas A&M alum signed a contract with the Tennesee Titans in 2021. He was waived by the Titans in on Nov. 9 of that year before the Lions claimed him the following day.
