Justin Allgaier emotional after finally winning NASCAR Xfinity Series championship
Tonight the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship went to Justin Allgaier. The Illinois-born driver was overcome with emotion afterward. Eight times before tonight, Allgaier had finished 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in the championship standings. Finally, after 14 years, he finishes on top.
The racing was fantastic. This Xfinity Series puts on the most fantastic stock car races you will see right now. You won’t find a better and more deserving champion than Justin Allgaier.
This is a moment that felt like it would never happen. Now, it is finally here. Allgaier was beside himself while talking to The CW broadcast.
“My wife and my kids, they have given up so much for me to come do this job and God’s good man. I said it all weekend I don’t know what the plan is, I don’t know what that looks like. But he’s got a reason for everything and tonight is truly that. It’s mind-blowing. It’s mind-blowing it really is.”
When you talk about deserving champions it can be a tough subject. Many feel the playoff system does not reward the best drivers, the most deserving. However, Justin Allgaier is that and more. He is the driver who represents everything good about the sport.
You won’t find many drivers more highly respected than Allgaier. There is a reason why Hendrick Motorsports wanted him to fill-in for Kyle Larson at Charlotte during the Double. There is a reason why Dale Earnhardt Jr. has kept backing him over the years.
This season was a culmination of a lot in Allgaier’s career. He passed Dale Jr. on the all-time wins list in the Xfinity Series. He entered the top-10. Allgaier now has the most top-10s ever in the series and counting. And now, he has his championship.

Justin Allgaier overcomes everything to win championship
14 years in the NASCAR Xfinity Series! Justin Allgaier is now a champion. He put on one of the greatest championship performances ever. Backup car, multiple penalties, and more. Allgaier overcame it all.
Riley Herbst passed Justin Allgaier on the last lap in double overtime to win the race. However, Gator didn’t mind giving up that position as he was on his way to the championship.
This was truly one of the gutsiest performances in a stock car you will ever see. Allgaier is the 2024 Xfinity Series champion!
This was the seventh time Justin Allgaier made the Championship 4. This time around, No. 7 wasn’t going to let it get away from him. In 2008 he was the ARCA Menards Series champion. After years of trying, 14 years, he has won another championship. I bet his Most Popular Driver title holds up, too.
