Justin Allgaier is hoping he can get another win on the season. Those five playoff points can go a long way to helping him build a championship run this season. It has eluded him, he’s been close a handful of times. If he keeps running this well, he will have another chance.
The Kansas Lottery 300 goes green at 3:00 p.m. EST later today on NBC. Allgaier will be out front leading the field as Sammy Smith starts on the front row with him.
Dale Jr. is going to love seeing his car up front. Josh Berry also showed some great speed, but he slapped the wall a little bit. It took his speed from him and he ended up not qualifying as well as he had wanted to.

Justin Allgaier wins 9th career pole
This is the first time since 2010, that Justin Allgaier has won multiple poles in the Xfinity Series. He was a young up-and-comer back then. Now, he’s had Cup Series experience, gone back down, and found a niche where he can thrive.
As he keeps chasing that Xfinity Series championship, Allgaier keeps showing you that he is a steady hand. His lows are usually never too low. He keeps a levelhead and it leads to results like this. He can also study other drivers, his teammates and competitors, to improve his own performance.
Justin noted that he knew Josh Berry was running high on Turns 1 and 2. He planned to come in low. It turned out, Allgaier was right, even if Berry almost pulled it off.
With the pole claimed, Justin Allgaier is going to be looking forward to another win late in the season. It would be a great way to close out the regular season.
