Justin Fields pokes fun at Packers fans: 'Not much else to do in Green Bay'
The Chicago Bears (7-9) and quarterback Justin Fields have the opportunity to play spoiler in Week 18 this Sunday when they roll into Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers (8-8).
Green Bay currently holds the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC, but a loss to their biggest rival could be the death knell in its playoff hopes. Standing in the Packers’ way is a Chicago team, led by Fields, which has won four of its last five games.
While you would think the Bears are preparing for a fiery atmosphere in Green Bay, Fields said Wednesday he’s not expecting anything out of the ordinary and took a light-hearted jab at Packers fans in the process.
“I don’t see it being that much different,” Fields said, via Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Chicago. “I see it because everybody always [says] the rivalry, whatever, I think it’s going to be the same environment. So, I don’t see it being too much different. Like I said it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be a fun environment to walk into their home field.

“I know their fans are going to be loud because there’s not much to do in Green Bay except watch football but it’s going to be a great environment to us, for us to play in and hopefully have a great game and get the Dub on Sunday.”
Justin Fields’ future with Bears up in the air
Fields and the Bears hosted the Packers back in Week 1 in September, falling 38-20. Since then, the Bears have outdone expectations aided by a late season hot streak behind the improved play of Fields. While the 2021 first-round pick has done his best to show Chicago’s brass he could be the long-term guy moving forward, the Bears owning the No. 1 overall pick in April’s NFL Draft courtesy of the Carolina Panthers (2-14) complicates matters.
Fields, however, isn’t worrying about the future, just the present.
“I don’t even know if we’re going to get next week,” Fields said. “So, I’m just worried about the rest of the day and the rest of the night. So I’ve got these meetings I’m about to head to. Like I said, we’ve got a game Sunday. I’m not focused on what happens after that.”
