Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney is frankly not a fan of his former team, the New York Giants.

Following a 40-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, Toney proceeded to take a shot at his former squad’s fans on Instagram. It should be noted, Toney deactivated his X/Twitter account following a rough performance on opening night for the Chiefs.

All Toney said on his Instagram story was: “Na Don’t get quiet now …” You can see it below in a screenshot.

Toney added another story to his Instagram account, calling for fans to leave him alone.

“Now I’m back off this S–t…. AGAIN… leave me df alone but stay tuned,” Toney wrote with a ‘Sorry We’re Closed’ sticker on the post.

Over recent months, Toney has gone after fans of the Giants, his previous team, letting them know how much happier he is in Kansas City. We’ll see if his honeymoon continues now after his performance on Thursday.

Of course, Toney didn’t single-handedly lose the Chiefs the game, but Kansas City certainly might be sitting at 1-0 right now if he made some catches.

Nevertheless, it’s a long season, and Toney will have his shot at redemption, as long as he stays on the field, which has been a problem for him, as well.

Patrick Mahomes still trusts Kadarius Toney despite rough outing

The Patrick Mahomes-to-Kadarius Toney connection, which sizzled at the Super Bowl, fizzled in the season opener at Arrowhead Stadium. With all-everything tight end Travis Kelce sidelined with a knee injury, it was imperative for the Chiefs receivers to do more in his absence.

“Stuff’s not always going to go your way, obviously. He would’ve wanted to catch a few of those in the game,” Mahomes said of Toney. “But I have trust that he’s gonna be that guy that I go to in those crucial moments, and he’s gonna make the catch and win us some seasons like he did last year.

“So we’re gonna continue to work him in, get him more and more reps, and I’m sure those drops will kind of disappear.”

Mahomes didn’t say anything that suggests he’s lost faith in the likes of Toney or Skyy Moore. The Chiefs still have 16 regular season games to play.

“I think they know I’m going to keep firing it,” Mahomes told reporters. “So we’ll try to get it fixed this next week and correct it going into next game.”
