Kadarius Toney is a Super Bowl champion, and he’s making sure the New York Giants know about it. The Kansas City Chiefs wideout pulled no punches when talking about his former team.
“I got the Super Bowl ring coming for this finger right here. I might be viral somewhere,” Toney said, gesturing to his middle finger. “I might be in New York with that middle finger up. … I love trolling. They try to troll me — I got something for them.”
This isn’t the first time Toney has rubbed his Super Bowl victory in the Giants’ face. After winning the first title of his young NFL career, the former Florida star was asked why Kansas City was the perfect fit after the Giants traded him, he responded:
“I’m a Super Bowl Champion, that’s why,” Toney said.
The Chiefs were awarded their Super Bowl rings on June 15 — and just as he had promised, Toney was pictured with the ring on his middle finger. View the photo below:
Toney didn’t put up eye-popping numbers after the trade, but he was a featured player for the Chiefs down the stretch and was able to make the most of mid-season change despite suffering injuries and facing criticism for his underutalized year-and-a-half tenure in New York.

The highlight of his 2023 season — and possibly the Chiefs season — was when Toney returned a fourth-quarter punt for a touchdown. Not only did the touchdown put the Chiefs ahead for good — the 65-yard score was also good for the longest punt return touchdown in Super Bowl history.
Toney played 10 total games in 2022. There, Toney recorded 21 receptions for 219 yards and three touchdowns along with six rushes for 73 yards and one touchdown. The Florida product proved his verastility was a punt returner, too having returned 16 punts for 173 yards, including the record-setting 65-yarder.
“It’s all been a journey, man. I can’t lie, it’s just been a journey, man,” Toney told Scott Van Pelt directly after winning the Super Bowl. “Just a lot of hard work, a lot of consistency. You know, I had a lot of setbacks and injuries, this and that, and I just never blinked. Never batted an eye. Just always knew the end goal was this right here, this confetti falling over our head.”
Toney will get to spend his first full season in Kansas City in 2023, and will get his third NFL season underway on Thursday, Sept. 7 against the Detroit Lions.
