Sports and politics have crossed over more than a few times during Donald Trump‘s second term as president of the United States. That theme continued on Saturday night.

Kai Trump, the eldest grandchild of Donald Trump via Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, posted a series of Instagram stories on Saturday night. She was present at the UFC 314 fight night in Miami.

One of the posts included the president of the United States walking into the arena to thunderous applause. The younger Trump shared the moment, with the caption “You cannot beat this atmosphere @ufc.”

Donald Trump has also been active when it comes to other sports stories this year. Some have involved his family, while others have been unconnected.

Two that have grabbed recent headlines? Tiger Woods dating Vanessa Trump and Joey Logano visiting the White House after capturing the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series title.

Donald Trump approves of Tiger Woods’ relationship

President Donald Trump gave a positive reaction to Tiger Woods dating his son’s ex-wife. While speaking to reporters, Trump was asked about the golf superstar and Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife, Vanessa, being in a relationship.

“Well, I love Tiger and I love Vanessa,” Trump said before sharing his thoughts on Don Jr. and Vanessa’s relationship, per TMZ Sports. “They had a great relationship. I happen to think their relationship with my son … I happen to think their relationship was hurt very badly by the witch hunt that went on. Russia, Russia, Russia and all the crap that they put Don through, who knew nothing about it.”

Trump added, “But Vanessa and Don had a very good relationship. They have incredible children, five incredible children, all good athletes, all great students. They broke up quite a while ago, which to me was very sad.”

Donald Trump then went back to his thoughts on Tiger Woods, saying that he talked to him about dating Vanessa. Trump told reporters, “I’m very happy for both, let them both be happy. They’re both great.”

Joey Logano visits the White House

Joey Logano visited the White House and met with President Donald Trump on Wednesday in celebration of his 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship, per Jerry Jordan of Kickin’ The Tires. Logano and Trump met at the South Portico for a photo op.

The event lasted about 30 minutes and was open to the White House Press Pool, Jordan noted. Other racing champions joined Logano in meeting with Trump.

Logano, 34, is the first NASCAR Champion to visit the White House since May 2019, when Logano himself met with Trump in recognition of his 2018 Championship. Then, he was joined by his wife Brittany and Team Penske owner Roger Penske.

“They’re winners, right,” Trump said at the time. “The team is a winner and NASCAR is a winner.”

Donald Trump, sworn into office for his second term in January, made an appearance at the Daytona 500 in February. Trump did a flyover in Air Force One over Daytona International Speedway and took a lap around the racetrack in “The Beast.”
