There is big news coming out of the Kansas City Chiefs camp as they prepare for their wild card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The chiefs are favored by 12.5 points at home against the 9-7-1 Steelers in a Sunday night matchup set to kick off at 8:15 ECT. And if they’re able to cover the point spread, they will likely have the services of star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to help them do so. NBC Sports has reported that Hill is expected to play on Sunday.

Hill did play in the Chief’s season finale against AFC West divisional rival the Denver Broncos, but he was limited to just 14 snaps. The Kansas City all-pro wideout injured himself just before the game in warmups while jumping up for a pass. Against the Broncos, Hill made just one catch for two yards but was primarily used as a decoy whenever in the game. However, in their playoff matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, expect for him to be a full part of their game plan.

While Kansas City will be getting back Hill, they will still be without starting running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Edwards-Helaire will be out for his third straight week with a shorter contusion. He was the only Chiefs player who did not practice on Friday and get in at least some kind of limited work. That means that Darrel Williams will handle the majority of the Chief’s workload from the backfield.

How Hill Injury happened

Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Tyreek Hill reportedly suffered an injury in pregame warmups ahead of today’s AFC divisional showdown vs. the Denver Broncos.

“Per @LauraRutledge, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill hurt his heel during warmups. That’s why Hill has been limited in terms of his snaps so far in the game.” NFL Insider Field Yates tweeted.

By the end of the first quarter, Hill hadn’t been targeted once, although the Chiefs haven’t publicly noted an injury to their dynamic wideout, according to Pro Football Talk.

“How many times have you seen them do this with Tyreek Hill,” ESPN announcer Kirk Herbstreit said on the broadcast. “While it only went for one yard, it was a big one.”

Hill entered the week with a career-high 110 receptions for 1,237 yards and nine touchdowns.

According to multiple NFL reporters, the video below is where the Kansas City Chiefs star pass catcher hurt his foot.
