WATCH: Chiefs run disrespectful, insane trick play featuring crazy huddle break
The Kansas City Chiefs showed off one of the weirdest plays in their playbook against the Las Vegas Raiders with a crazy huddle break. The Chiefs pulled out a trick play that was designed to confuse the defense from the moment they called it in the huddle, as they began to spin around in a circle like a carousel before rushing to the line of scrimmage.

The replay of the trickery by coach Andy Reid showed just how silly the play looked at first, as well as how fun football can be at times. Adding to the wild moment was the fact that the play resulted in a touchdown as well — until it was called back for holding by center Creed Humphrey at the tail end of the play.

The play itself was tricky enough without the unusual huddle break, featuring a direct snap to Jerick McKinnon out of a modified wildcat formation with Patrick Mahomes sitting well behind McKinnon pre-snap. McKinnon then followed a blocker out to the right side of the field before pitching the ball back to Mahomes, where the play became a screen pass to the left side of the field to the other piece of the wildcat setup who leaked out instead of blocking.
Unfortunately for the Raiders, a missed tackle led to the play working for a touchdown before the holding penalty nullified the highlight reel moment. It didn’t take the Chiefs long to finish the drive anyways though, scoring a touchdown on the next play and building a 24-3 lead by the half.
