After making her NASCAR Cup Series debut, Katherine Legge has secured sponsorship and funding for multiple Xfinity and Cup races in 2025. This shows that Legge is fully committed to racing in stock cars at this point in her career.

Seven races might not sound like a lot, but for someone with only one Cup start, that is plenty. Katherine Legge will have Xfinity Series starts at Rockingham and Charlotte. Legge also plans on racing in the Cup Series event in Mexico City.

Legge broke the news to PEOPLE today. She will have sponsorship from E.L.F Beauty, who has supported her racing career in IndyCar as well. A picture of her Xfinity Series car shows that she will be in the No. 32 Chevrolet.

Right now, the No. 32 car is driven by Jordan Anderson Racing. That car has been driven part-time by Jordan Anderson himself and by Austin Green, son of David Green and nephew of Jeff and Mark Green.

Seven races are up on the board for Katherine Legge, but for now, we do not know each of those dates. I imagine she will race again with Live Fast Motorsports in the Cup Series, just as she did at Phoenix. Perhaps she has landed a ride with another open team, but Live Fast seems the most likely at this time.

Katherine Legge has a challenge this season

The Cup Series debut did not go according to plan for Katherine Legge. She spun out early by herself, no big deal. The car was not set up great and the team had to make multiple adjustments throughout the race just to get her comfortable.

Then there was the second spin. In traffic. Legge ended up taking Daniel Suárez out of P6 as the two collided and DNF’d from the race. Not ideal for her debut. To his credit, Suárez did not blame Legge. Instead, the entire industry pointed the blame at NASCAR.

She had no testing, only a few minutes of practice, and then she was expected to race in the top series of stock car racing in the world. Compared to other motorsports series, she was given no preparation.

This time around, Katherine Legge will have a little more experience. That will help. But unfortunately, the only way for someone new to the sport to get better is by jumping in the deep end. Sink or swim this year in Xfinity and Cup for Legge.
