The newest NASCAR Xfinity Series signing is getting started early. Kaulig Racing and Josh Williams are going to Florence Motor Speedway. Kaulig is seeing all the Late Model fun and wants part of it. The No. 11 Alloy Employer Services Chevy will line up for the South Carolina 400.

Kaulig Racing is going to have its hands full in their first Late Model venture. However, they picked a great driver to wheel their car. Williams is a short track guy and is going to love this opportunity.

Josh Berry and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will also be in the South Carolina 400. Berry is entered with Kevin Harvick’s team while Dale Jr. is racing for himself at JR Motorsports. Carson Kvapil and Brendan “Butterbean” Queen are also entered along with a stellar list of Late Model racers.

Kaulig Racing showed off their latest venture on Twitter earlier today.

This is going to be one of the best races of the year, let alone the NASCAR offseason. Florence Motor Speedway has produced a lot of fun races in the past. I love that Kaulig Racing and Josh Williams are doing this. Grassroots racing is really getting a ton of attention and this further solidifies this new wave for Late Models.

The South Carolina 400 will be packed with cars and it’s going to be some great short track racing. It will be very interesting to see which NASCAR drivers thrive in this race.

Kaulig Racing makes surprise Silly Season decision

When the news started to leak on the rumor mill, it didn’t seem real. However, Kaulig Racing and Josh Williams came to an agreement for the 2024 season. Williams said that it was a project that he and Kaulig started to talk about recently. They figured out the sponsorship and made the deal work.

Out of all of the Kaulig Racing decisions so far this Silly Season, this is my favorite. Josh is a driver who is credited with pushing his equipment to the max. He was able to secure top-5 finishes and wins in ARCA with his own equipment.

Williams fits in great at Kaulig. I think Chris Rice and Matt Kaulig likely get along with him well. He’s a rough and tough guy. Williams is that old-school kind of racer you don’t see as often now. So, expect him to race respectfully, but never be afraid to beat and bang if that’s what it comes to.

If you are able to watch the South Carolina 400 on FloRacing, do it. You won’t regret it for many reasons. One of the main ones, seeing Williams in Kaulig equipment for the first time.
