Kelsey Plum always finds the camera.

During an entertaining 102-76 win over Japan in Team USA’s 2024 Olympic opener, Plum took a hard foul to the rim where he slid past the base line and right in front of a camera man under the basket.

Without hesitation, the charasmatic Las Vegas Aces star let the audience know she was going to the line for two shots at the charity stripe. Watch the humerous moment below:

Plum finsihed the game with 11 points in 14 minutes off the bench, one of five Team USA members to score in double figures. She had three assists and knocked down 4 of 6 shot attempts during the contest.

And yes, she knocked down both of her free throws after the hilarious moment.

That’s a testament of how quickly Plum can shift her mindset from entertainer to performer in mere seconds. She has proven to be one of the WNBA’s elite performers in recent years, and while she’s having to share her role with multiple other stars on Team USA, she’s still shown that she can make an impact in her limited capacity.

As expected, it was Plum’s teammate on the Aces, A’ja Wilson, who led the Olympic team in points with 24. She also notched 13 rebounds in a dominant performance. New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart scored 22 with eight rebounds and three assists, and Brittney Griner and Sabrina Ionescu rounded out the scoring effort with 11 each.

For the Aces, Plum is averaging 18.8 points per game to go with 4.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per outing. She’s been a part of the consecutive WNBA Championships-winning Aces rosters alongside Wilson and has been to three-straight WNBA All-Star games (2022-2024).

In the July 20 All-Star meeting between Team USA and Team WNBA, she logged similar numbers to the stats she put up in the Paris opener. She played 13 minutes on the floor where she scored nine points, logged six assists and grabbed two boards.

The next time that Team USA’s women’s basketball team will be in action is on Thursday, Aug. 1 against Belgium. The game will air at 3 p.m. ET live on Peacock. Team USA previously defeated Belgium in February during FIBA’s Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

After that, the next scheduled matchup for Plum and Team USA will be on Aug. 4 against Germany to conclude the group phase.
