Kendrick Perkins falls for viral Twitter joke that NBA player grew from 6'7" to 7'2"
Misinformation is very easy to find, especially on Twitter these days. That’s why more than a few viewers took note of what Kendrick Perkins recently had to say based on ‘reports’ that he was hearing.
Over the past week, rumors had started to swirl that Jonathan Kuminga, a 6’7 forward for the Golden State Warriors, had hit a dramatic growth spurt and reached the height of 7’2. However, that claim was nothing more than a hoax on social media to generate buzz. Still, that didn’t stop Perkins from taking that bad information and using it while giving an NBA opinion on SportsCenter.
Once he found out about his mistake, though, Perkins made sure to correct it on his own Twitter by telling everyone how much he dislikes the platform.
Everything else that Perk had to say about Kuminga was more than accurate. In his second season with Golden State, his numbers and skills have improved across the board as he averaged 9.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game with the Warriors. He is also well-known for his athleticism at 20 years old and has been ever since he was a five-star prospect and a player for the G-League Ignite.
Even so, 7’2 is well short of the actual height of the former No. 7 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. With that in mind, the internet can take one in the win column again because Perkins’ lack of fact-checking on his work.
Brandon Miller calls Paul George the GOAT over Michael Jordan, LeBron James
Former Alabama star Brandon Miller called Paul George the GOAT of basketball over legends like Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
No, that’s not a joke. Ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft, where Miller will be a high lottery pick, a reporter asked about the conversation between Jordan and James.

The former Alabama product had quite the answer.
“No, because I actually don’t think LeBron is the GOAT of basketball,” Miller said. “My GOAT of basketball is Paul George. I grew up watching him. So, it was never just LeBron.”
It’s no disrespect to George, but it’s an intriguing choice from Miller. Whether that type of take affects his draft stock remains to be seen.
All kidding aside, Miller is the projected No. 2 pick in the draft, based on recent reports about the Charlotte Hornets focusing on the former Crimson Tide star.
In 37 games last season, Miller finished with 18.8 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game, shot 43% from the floor and 38.4% from three-point range.
