Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 'Stone Cold' slams beers during Denver Nuggets championship parade
Players tend to seriously let loose if their team is one of the few that get to host a championship parade. Now, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope being a two-time NBA champion following the Denver Nuggets victory in the NBA Finals, the 30-year-old shooting guard is already letting loose.
The broadcast for the Nugget’s parade was going around on top of the bus and interviewing the champions as they made their way through downtown. That’s when KCP comes into frame and performs an elite rendition of Steve Austin’s ‘Stone Cold’ celebration.
That came after another beer-related moment when Caldwell-Pope came off the bus in order to have a chugging contest with a fan that was lined on the street.
In 76 game with Denver this season, Caldwell-Pope averaged 10.8 points per game. He also shot 42.3% from three, the best on the team, as a full-time starter. During the Nugget’s 4-1 series win over the Miami Heat, he averaged 7.4 points in 34 minutes per game. He also grabbed what was essentially the clinching steal from Jimmy Butler to help the franchise win their first-ever title.
This was Caldwell-Pope’s 10th professional season. Over that time, he spent four seasons with Detroit, four with the Los Angeles Lakers, and one with Washington. In 2020, he was a member of the Lakers when they won the NBA Finals during the bubble.
That all comes after Caldwell-Pope was the No. 8 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. Detroit selected him after a pair of seasons with Georgia where he averaged 15.8 points and 6.1 rebounds in 64 career games in Athens.

Again, if it’s possible to have too much fun, these athletes usually reach that point during the parade after winning a championship. With their usually being a standout or two from the celebrations, it’s safe to say Caldwell-Pope is in an early lead to be one with his beer-chugging theatrics.
Murray accidentally ignores Russell Wilson after Nugget’s NBA Finals victory
Nothing like a good-old fashioned diss, even if it’s unintentional. Jamal Murray delivered a brutal slight to another star in his city on Monday night.
After the Murray and the Nuggets defeated Miami at home to win the NBA Finals, the city appropriately celebrated. Amid the celebration, Murray walked right past Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, who was seemingly trying to congratulate Murray on the win.
In fairness, Wilson was one of countless fans attempting to get Murray’s attention. Nonetheless, a fist bump would’ve sufficed. Evidently, Wilson didn’t take the diss to heart. After the game, Wilson congratulated the Nuggets on the title victory.
