Kentucky visits LSU late Wednesday evening for a matchup between two SEC clubs that just bounced back with some huge victories over the weekend.

The Wildcats had lost three straight on their own home floor heading into last Tuesday’s bout with Ole Miss, which they won in Rupp Arena to snap the sour streak. Then, they went on the road and handled Auburn 70-59 to really get their swagger back. But UK has a feisty Tiger team meeting them, as LSU broke their own three-game losing streak with a massive comeback win at South Carolina on Saturday.

So, with both of these clubs heating up and LSU hosting Kentucky, you can read up below on all of the relevant info — point spreads, predictions and TV information.

Odds for Kentucky vs. LSU

FanDuel line: Kentucky -6.5 points
FanDuel over/under: 162.5 points

The sports books are pretty bullish on the ‘Cats, who FanDuel pegs as a sizeable 6.5-point favorite at LSU, which is a bit higher than the analytical models expect (and you can read about those below). Meanwhile, the over/under is still pretty lofty at 162, and that’s typical for this Kentucky team, although UK scored under 80 in their last two games.

Final Score Predictions

KenPom final score: Kentucky 84, LSU 80
KenPom win probability: Kentucky 63%

KenPom gives the nod to Kentucky by four on the road here. His metrics predict a win for the Wildcats but by no means is 84-80 a blowout, nor does his 63% chance of victory suggest the ‘Cats have this one in the bag vs. the Tigers.

BPI predicted margin: Kentucky by 2.8 points
BPI win probability: Kentucky 59.8%
BPI matchup quality: 87.7 (No. 1 for the day)

ESPN’s Basketball Power Index (BPI) is calling for a barnburner in Baton Rouge tonight. It has the Kentucky-LSU matchup rated as the best show on television for all of Wednesday night across college hoops, and they expect a close one with Kentucky prevailing by just a couple of points. BPI has the closer game on the win probability metric, too, with Kentucky winning just under 60% of the time.

Well, all signs point to a close Kentucky victory on the road, at least per the sports books and various analytics. But we all know how well a bettor can do riding home underdogs in college hoops. Either way, the Pete Maravich center should have a real treat this evening.
