Kerby Joseph calls out Packers after Lions keep them out of playoffs
The Detroit Lions kept the Green Bay Packers out of the playoffs with a 20-16 win Sunday night during the final game of the regular season.
Lions safety Kerby Joseph knew Detroit had, essentially, nothing to play for coming in due to the Seattle Seahawks’ win earlier in the day. But that did not stop the motivation for Joseph and the Lions.
He sent a message to the Packers following the game, ending their rival’s season.
“If we not going y’all not going either IDC,” he wrote on Twitter.
The attention now turns to Aaron Rodgers. Following the loss, Rodgers could be seen at midfield soaking it all in, leading to speculation that it was his final game with the Packers at Lambeau Field.
Whether that means Rodgers would retire or ultimately play somewhere else next year remains to be seen, but it sparked conversation.

“It’s a feeling,” Rodgers said of what it’ll come down to at some point this offseason, which he promised wouldn’t drag out. “Do I feel like I have anything left to prove to myself? Do I want to go back and gear up for another grind? Or is it time? Is it time to step away? Is it time for another voice to be leading this team?
“I think I need to get away and contemplate those things. Those are real to me. I have a lot of pride in what I’ve accomplished in this league but I’m also a realist and I understand where we’re at as a team. We’re a young team, there could be some changes with some of the older guys and it could be time to step away. But I could take some time and say hell no, man, I need to get back out there and go on another run. But I’ll have to see what it feels like once I’m away from it.”
