Kevin Harvick addresses complicated dustup between Ty Gibbs, Tyler Reddick

Last week at Martinsville, Ty Gibbs was anything but happy with Tyler Reddick. The two drivers got into one another during the race. Kevin Harvick saw the conversation the two drivers had after the NASCAR race on Sunday and shared his thoughts on the matter.
Martinsville is physical. Cars don’t leave that track without a few scuffs and marks on the sides, front, and back. Still, there’s a difference between contact and being spun out. Gibbs was spun.
Was it Tyler Reddick’s fault? Is Ty Gibbs out of line? Well, Kevin Harvick has his own thoughts.
“Yeah, this one’s a little tougher to handle because they’re kind of in the same house there with Toyota,” Harvick said on his Happy Hour podcast. He continued.
“After the race we saw Tyler [Reddick] over at Ty [Gibbs]’s car just trying to explain his side of the story. But when you look at that scenario, it just looked like to me that the 45 thought he had a hole right there. Then, right as he got to that hole, the car behind him just pretty much floored it, just jammed him right into the 54 car. I don’t remember who was behind the 45, but it definitely spun him out. And then Ty was able to put himself back in position to come up.

“They kind of stopped their bleeding as well, qualified good, had a decent day, drove back up to 13th. That’s the type of stuff; that’s how you stop the bleeding. You have a decent day like that because next week, you’re in a different practice session, you’re qualifying in a better position when the track is cleaner. So, there’s a lot of things that just happen better for you, but once you get into that cycle of having bad finishes, then you have trouble qualifying. It’s really hard to get out of.”
While the two Toyota drivers weren’t on the same page, it seems like a brief spat. I was more interested in the Joey Logano and Ty Gibbs feud popping up a little bit once again. Those two seem to find each other more times than not on the track.
For the 54 team, this is such a critical month. Darlington, Bristol, Talladega, and Texas. Those are four tracks that could help him get back to where he needs to be or sink him further. Sitting at 31stin points is not where Gibbsthought he would be at this point in the season.
