Can Tyler Reddick finish his memorable 2024 season by winning the NASCAR Cup Series Championship on Nov. 10? On Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour, Kevin Harvick weighed in on Reddick’s chances of winning his first title.

“We’re going to find out. …How do we race championship level every week? Can you find that gear that you found at Homestead not being motivated? That’s what we’re going to find about Tyler Reddick when we get to this championship race,” Harvick said. “Can Tyler Reddick find the gear that he had at Homestead and motivate himself to find those last eight laps every lap at Phoenix?”

Reddick clinched a spot in the Championship 4 after winning the Homestead race on Sunday. It’s fitting for Reddick to compete for the title since he won the regular-season championship last month.

“We were backed in a corner, man,” Reddick told NBC Sports after the race. “We had no other choice. I know we were on tire deficit. Here at Homestead Miami Speedway, that’s a death sentence. I don’t care. We did what it took to win this race. We’re fighting for a championship.”

Tyler Reddick talks about making Michael Jordan happy

Reddick won the race that had three different leaders in the final three laps. He made a clutch to pass out of Turn 4 on the final lap to claim the victory.

“I can’t walk you through the last few laps,” Reddick told reporters during his post-race press conference. But my emotions were all over the place. Yeah, when we went long, I didn’t know how that was going to play out. I was worried that caution wasn’t going to come. We pit, lose a lap. Oh, damn. We get back on the lead lap. I was not expecting it, right? Nick says caution. Great, we’re at the back, whatever else.”

Reddick also talked about making 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan happy. “It’s special, man. He’s dedicated a lot of his time, his efforts, his money into elevating 23XI to where it is right now. He’s fully committed to this team, to our organization. To be able to reward him with the days like we had today, it’s a true honor. It was really cool to see how happy he was. We’re all very happy about it.”
