Race fans, a superstar is getting back on the track. Kevin Harvick is racing the CARS Tour Pro Late Model race at Florence Motor Speedway. The NASCAR champion is set to race for Rackley WAR in the Friday night action.
Kevin Harvick is a co-owner in the CARS Tour. He is also a team owner, running his own cars for KHI Management drivers. Now, he’s getting into another team’s car in the second-tier CARS Tour series.
After mixing it up in the Late Model Stock race at North Wilkesboro, Harvick is ready to get more track time. He wants to be able to compete when he enters these races. I bet he is able to compete on Friday night.
“I’ve had a lot of fun this season running the Late Models, but I know I need to do more races to get better,” said Harvick, via FloRacing.com. “These cars are so different from what I’ve spent most of my career driving, but I’m having fun learning all about them. Adding Florence was an easy decision and I’m glad we were able to work it out with Rackley W.A.R. and have both Realtree and Hunt Brothers Pizza on board. I’m excited to get to Florence and have some fun this weekend.”
Kevin Harvick will be with a familiar sponsor. Harvick and his son Keelan are both sponsored by Hunt Brothers Pizza still. Harvick will be in the No. 62 Chevy with both Hunt Brothers and RealTree on the car.
Even if he is racing in the Pro Late Model division, it won’t be a cakewalk for the 60-time Cup Series race winner.

Kevin Harvick diving back into CARS Tour action
Kevin Harvick managed to finish just outside of the top-10. Funny enough, his own driver, Brent Crews, in the 29 car was able to edge him out for that final spot in the top-10. That Pro Late Model division is tough now, don’t let me fool you by saying it is the second series.
Drivers like Caden Kvapil, Kaden Honeycutt, Spencer Davis, and even 14-year-old Tristan McKee are not easy to beat. McKee is a special young talent who has a bright future in stock cars. But this entire series is full of young talent.
If you are not watching the CARS Tour, you really need to be. It is the best short track action you will see right now. Door-to-door, beating and banging, but always toeing the line between what is too much and not enough. These drivers are all putting their heart and soul into the racing, hoping they can get noticed by a NASCAR organization one day.
Kevin Harvick wants to race more of these Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock races. Next season he plans to enter 14-15 races. We will see how his wife DeLana feels about that…
