NASCAR’s Charlotte ROVAL takes place on Sunday, and Kevin Harvick has predicted who will win the race. On Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour, the racing legend believes that Christopher Bell will win the final race of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs Round of 12.

“I’m gonna go with Christopher Bell,” Harvick revealed. “I think he’s got nothing to lose, he beat me a couple years ago with like two laps to go. I think that the [Joe Gibbs Racing] cars on rough race tracks like that always seem to have a better handling package. I’m going with Christopher Bell because I’m tired of everybody sleeping on him.”

Before picking Bell, Harvick said it was hard to go against Shane van Gisbergen (SVG) and AJ Allmendinger since both are good on road courses. Harvick’s co-host, Kaitlyn Vincie did pick SVG, and his other co-host Mamba Smith, picked Allmendinger.

As Harvick mentioned, Bell doesn’t need to win on Sunday since he will likely advance to the next round of the playoffs. The 29-year-old has been on a strong run lately, earning six top-10 finishes in the last seven races. And of those six top-10 finishes, Bell finished in the top five in four of them.

In March, Harvick talked about how Bell’s personality is the reason he doesn’t get as much attention as other top drivers. “I think Christopher Bell, from a performance standpoint, should be one of the favorites,” Harvick stated.

“I think his personality and his demeanor, almost take him out of those conversations, because you never — he never really says anything that’s controversial. He never goes over the top to, you know, to voice his opinion on something that he doesn’t like. I’m not saying that there’s anything right or wrong with that. I’m just saying that, I think his his demeanor and the way that he approaches things is purely for racing, and he just wants to drive the car and perform with what he’s supposed to do, and he doesn’t want to create the chaos and excitement.

“I think, the media side of things, they want they want something that’s a that’s a bigger story. But I do think that Christopher Bell has the capability to not say anything, and win enough races, to make you talk about him all the time.”
