Kevin Harvick predicts winner for NASCAR race at Homestead

Today at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the NASCAR Cup Series takes on 400 miles of racing. Kevin Harvick has his pick for the week. After seeing Josh Berry win last week, could we be surprised again by this week’s winner?
Kevin Harvick did not predict the Josh Berry win last week. No one did, really. That won’t stop him from trying again this week for Homestead-Miami. It should be a fantastic race.
Kyle Larson? Tyler Reddick? Ryan Blaney? Who is getting the nod from The Closer this week?
“I think I’m going to go with the 5 [of Kyle Larson], and that’s why I like to pick first,” Harvick said on his Happy Hour podcast. “Because I am the leader in the clubhouse so that’s how I get to pick first.”
Kaitlyn Vincie chimed in with her pick next. She took the next best option.
“I’m taking Reddick. You talked about it too but I already had it down.”
Meanwhile, Mamba Smith is going out on a limb. He says that it won’t be Larson. It won’t even be Reddick. It will be someone else!
“You know what, I think that they’ve been fast so far this year, they’re fast this week, they led some laps – give me Bubba Wallace and the 23,” Smith said. Bold prediction, to be honest.
Kyle Larson, Tyler Reddick, or Bubba Wallace? Who are you taking out of those three drivers today? NASCAR Cup Series action from Miami is just around the corner.

Kyle Busch tells Kevin Harvick about Next Gen struggles
Kyle Busch has not been winning like he was in the old cars. Things are harder. The style of racing has changed. For Busch and Chase Elliott, that is a problem they have had to overcome, as he told Kevin Harvick recently.
Speaking to Harvick in a one-on-one interview, Busch opened up about those struggles. He even brought up Elliott.
“I’ve had some long conversations with Chase Elliott because we grew up the same way,” Busch admitted. “Like, racing super late models across the country and those style of cars. And I’m like, ‘Man, have you found this thing to just be a beast? Like a challenge?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ve had to change my driving style.’ Just like what you just said. I’m like, I don’t know how to do that. I have a feel that I’m looking for and when we get that feel I can have the same feel as the old car and be fast with it, but dude, trying to find that is like a needle in a haystack.”
In the first year of the Next Gen car in 2022, Chase Elliott won five races. Kyle Busch won three races in 2023. Besides those multi-win seasons, both drivers have a single-win season and a winless season in this car. Kevin Harvick knows the struggle. He went through it, too.
