Kevin Harvick did something really cool to show his appreciation to everyone who helped him along his NASCAR journey, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. let the world in on it.

Following November’s race at Phoenix, Harvick entered retirement. He hung up the wheel for a final time, and finished his time as a full-time racer in the NASCAR Cup Series. Much like Earnhardt Jr. did a couple years prior.

On Wednesday, Earnhardt Jr. took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a gift Harvick sent him from his final season. It was his race-used wheel from Talladega earlier in 2023. That’s a pretty sweet piece of memorabilia.

Check it out below. There’s a ton of collectors who’d love to have their hands on this, but we’re willing to bet Earnhardt Jr. has a special place for it.

“Got home and opened a box in the mail from @KevinHarvick,” Earnhardt Jr. posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “It’s his race used wheel from @TALLADEGA this year. How damn cool is this? I guess several folks got a wheel from Kevin this year. I was thankful to be one of them.”

Evidently, Harvick sent some of his wheels from his final season to people who made an impact on his career. That’s a pretty awesome gesture from the former Richard Childress Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing driver.

Now, we’re wondering who else received one. Nevertheless, Earnhardt Jr. was a fantastic choice to receive one, as him and Harvick were linked throughout their racing careers.

As Harvick enjoys his retirement, he explained earlier this year how he’s hoping to be remembered by his fans and his peers, and Earnhardt Jr.’s post goes to show that he certainly has their respect.

“If I’m remembered, that’s good enough for me,” Harvick said, via a Mobil 1 video. “As you go through your career you want to be able to do enough things where people will remember your name and pull your videos up and look at the records – and just have some impact scattered over the record books and the sport.

“It’s important to have the respect of your peers and them knowing that you were competitive and fierce and also fair and had a firm understanding of the sport and the history of the sport and respecting the things that come with NASCAR racing.”

NASCAR will miss Kevin Harvick week-in and week-out battling for victories. His impact on the sport has been undeniable. We’ll see if he’s as successful during the next chapter of his racing life, as he’ll still be around the track in numerous capacities.
