Khalen Saunders, brother of Taylor Swift dancer, blows up Travis Kelce, intercepts Patrick Mahomes
Khalen Saunders seemed as if he knew that the ESPN broadcast crew was talking about him Monday night. Just as Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were discussing the fact that Saunders’ brother, Kam, is backup dancer for Taylor Swift, the Saints defensive lineman came through with a pair of big plays.
First, he made a tackle to stop Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Swift’s boyfriend, short of a touchdown at the two-yard line. Then on the very next play, he record his first career interception after the ball was tipped in the air, returning it 30 yards in a big swing of momentum. You can view the moment below.
It was a bit of revenge for Saunders, who played the first four years of his career with the Chiefs and won a pair of Super Bowls with the team. This marks the first time he has faced his former team since signing with the Saints as a free agent in 2023.
The tackle he had on Kelce was one of seven he has made so far Monday evening as he also has one pass defended. New Orleans currently trails 23-13 with 4:03 remaining.
Travis Kelce, Kam Saunders share stage during Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour
The broadcast revealed that Kam Saunders was a backup dancer for Swift during her Eras Tour, but she wasn’t the only one he shared the stage with. Kelce also made a surprise appearance at one of the concerts and Kam had a big reaction afterward on social media.

“Trav.. I had the time of my life being an absolute HAM with you on stage,” he wrote. “This was such a full circle moment for me. I have been to countless Chiefs games with my family over the years to support my baby brother. Three of those 4 years he was with the Chiefs we went to the Super Bowl and won twice… ABSOLUTE LEGACY!!
“And now for you and I to share the biggest stage in the world with the boss lady… full circle! The Saunders family loves you, Trav!”
Kelce left a response, and it seems he has remained close with his former teammate and his family even two years after they last played together.
“Kam! The Saunders brothers were already my favorites,” he said. “From winning super bowls with Sir Bink @khalennotkaylen to having fun bringing Tay back to life on the stage with the other night… and even hanging with Mama Saunders, cheering on in Australia!”
