Big news for Keelan and Kevin Harvick as KHI deepens ties with Rackley WAR for the 2025 Late Model and NASCAR Truck Series season. This new partnership will put the father-son duo in a number of Late Model races with Rackley.

Dawson Sutton will take over the No. 25 truck for his family’s team next season in the Truck Series. But this group is thinking long-term it appears with both Sutton and the younger Harvick.

Keelan and Kevin Harvick will race Super and Pro Late Model races for Rackley WAR. The NASCAR champion will be a consultant for the Truck Series program. Sounds like a solid program is being put together.

“Although KHI had some success this year in the Late Model Stock world, the Pros and Supers are different animals,” Kevin Harvick said in a press release.  “We still plan to have a presence in the CARS Tour next year, but Rackley W.A.R. has a solid and proven track record that will drastically improve the learning curve for Keelan and I in the Super and Pro Late Models.  In return, I hope that my years of owning and operating a championship winning truck program will help shorten Dawson’s learning curve in his rookie truck season and positively impact their truck program. We look forward to working with Willie and the Sutton family in 2025.”

At only 12 years old, Keelan is rising up through the ranks. He has done a great job in Legends cars and now he will move up to full-size race cars. With his dad behind him helping him progress, it will likey be a journey NASCAR fans want to watch.

Keelan Harvick taking the next step

While he is very young, Keelan Harvick is a rising star. Yes, a lot of that has to do with his name. However, a lot can be said about having resources at a young age. So, I see now reason why this experiment isn’t going to work.

Soon, Kevin Harvick will be traveling all over the place again. With his FOX broadcasting duties and Keelan’s emerging career – there will be a lot of weekends at the race track.

Also, it’s great to see Harvick involved with the Truck Series again. He comes from the Ron Hornaday Jr. tree – the Truck Series is a big part of Harvick’s story as a driver and team owner.

While Keelan Harvick has a few years before he gets into NASCAR action, maybe this is the path. Rackely WAR has shown that they can win races and make the playoffs with the right driver.

Perhaps Dawson drives it a couple of years, then you get a driver or two to take the wheel for another couple of seasons, then Kevin and Keelan split the truck for a season before Keelan takes over full time?
