Kobe Bryant is as iconic as it gets when it comes to the sport of basketball and the NBA. Now, although departed for nearly three and a half years, his legacy is still making an impact today.

2K is making sure of that by continuing his memory with their announcement this morning. In a tweet they shared earlier today, they announced that Bryant would be gracing the covers of this year’s edition of NBA2K with NBA2K24.

Bryant’s career came to an end in 2016 after spending 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In that time, he averaged 25 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. After 1,346 games in LA, he retired as a five-time NBA champion, 18-time All-Star, 15-time All-NBA selection, a two-time NBA Finals MVP, a two-time scoring leader in the NBA, and a one-time league MVP.

Today, The Black Mamba sits in fourth all-time in the NBA in scoring (33,643).

Since his retirement and subsequent passing, Bryant became a member of the Hall of Fame as part of the 2020 class as well as a member of the NBA’s Top-75 Anniversary Team this past season.

There’s not a member of the basketball community that doesn’t understand Bryant’s influence or doesn’t desire that he made it past the age of 41, just a little under four years after he hung up his jersey for the final time. Even so, 2K is appreciating his memory in the latest way, especially in a year with a number, ’24, that was so synonymous with Kobe.

Michael Jordan does not approve of son dating Larsa Pippen

This shouldn’t come as a big surprise. NBA legend Michael Jordan isn’t keen that one of his sons is dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, Larsa.

It’s like a tabloid dream come to life. Marcus Jordan, the second-oldest child of basketball icon Michael, became social media official with Larsa Pippen, Scottie’s wife for two decades, earlier this year. Michael and Scottie, one-time teammates, don’t agree on much these days, so there’s that detail. Then there’s the reality TV side to the couple. Larsa Pippen is a star on Real Housewives of Miami. And she’s close friends with Kim Kardashian, the ultimate reality star. The paparazzi always are buzzing around.

A photographer found Michael Jordan and wife, Yvetter Prieto, Sunday night leaving Matignon, a restaurant in Paris. So, did Jordan approve of the relationship?

First he laughed. It was an are-you-seriously-asking-me-that-question kind of laugh. Then Jordan gave an emphatic no and a shake-your-head no. See for yourself. TV Deets, which reports on reality TV news, shared the video on social media.
