Kyle Busch addresses NASCAR playoffs chances, 'getting run into every week'
The woes and struggles appear to continue for Kyle Busch. Is there any way that he can turn things around at Nashville Superspeedway? The two-time NASCAR champion has had his worst season ever in the Cup Series up to this point.
Kyle Busch has been wrecked, had slow cars, mechanical issues, and just plain bad luck throughout 2024. The last time Busch found himself in the top-10 was back at Kansas. Since then, finishes of P27, P15, P35, P12, P35, and P35 have sunk his season.
For Busch, it really takes one good day to get a win and get to the playoffs. The only problem is I haven’t seen Richard Childress Racing give him equipment that looks like it can win.
“Sure you can but the last three weeks have definitely, definitely not helped, that’s been a huge setback,” Busch said, via Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports. “We just have to stop the bleeding I think I’ve been saying that for the last six months so it hasn’t stopped. In the last week, it’s been gushing pretty hard.”
Then Kyle Busch talked about the last few weeks. It has been one thing after another.
“Yeah true. We were running better than we probably should have been at Gateway we got crashed. We were running better than we should have been at Iowa and we had a part failure. Then we’re not running good at all last week at Loudon and then we go out in the wet and I’m just trying to catch back up to the tail of the field and we crashed. But take all that back I’ve been getting run into every week as well, too. So, that’s probably some of it.”

Will Kyle Busch change his luck today?
Kyle Busch qualified P27 at Nashville
When it comes to the race at hand today, Busch is facing another hard fight. Qualifying did not go according to plan and Busch is going to start P27 in Music City. Richard Childress Racing has not been able to put fast cars on the track in races or qualifying lately.
Without a good qualifying round, it’s hard to earn stage points and build momentum. This is going to be another struggle of a race for the No. 8 team. Busch finds himself 17th overall in points and he keeps falling back with each poor result.
If Kyle Busch can move up through the field and avoid wrecks, he has a chance. The last month, six months if you ask Busch, show that is going to be easier said than done.
