Spire Motorsports announced Monday that Kyle Busch will run five NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series races for the team in 2025.

Busch, the two-time Cup Series champion, is returning to the Truck Series after taking the checkered flag twice in five starts with Spire last season (Atlanta, Texas). Two of his starts will come in the No. 7 Silverado, with Brian Pattie serving as his crew chief. Busch will pilot the No. 07 Silverado in the other three races, Allen Hart sitting atop the pit box. Busch’s 2025 Truck Series schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, Feb. 22 at Atlanta Motor Speedway (No. 7)
  • Saturday, May 17 at North Wilkesboro Speedway (No. 07)
  • Friday, May 23 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (No. 7)
  • Friday, May 30 at Nashville Superspeedway (No. 07)
  • Friday, Aug. 8 at Watkins Glen International (No. 07)

“My schedule will consist of some tracks where I’ve had a lot of success in the Truck Series, like Atlanta, Charlotte, and Nashville but also two tracks that I’ve never raced at in a truck – North Wilkesboro and Watkins Glen,” Busch said. “So, I’m looking forward to hopefully adding a couple more tracks to the list of places where I’ve won across my Truck Series career.”

The 39-year-old is the winningest driver in Truck Series history, compiling 66 wins in 175 starts. Busch has 231 victories across all three of NASCAR’s national series, the most all-time.

“With my long-standing relationship with [Spire co-owner] Jeff [Dickerson] and having a lot of my former employees still working on the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series teams at Spire Motorsports, it’s cool to be able to hop back in their Chevy Silverados five times and work towards filling those trophy cases,” Busch said. “I still really enjoy being a part of the process of evaluating their equipment and being a mentor to the young drivers in Spire’s lineup. It’s fun trying to help speed up their learning curve by passing on a few pointers here and there.”

Kyle Busch calls out Joey Logano after Daytona 500 wreck

Busch is currently mired in a career-long 58-race winless streak in Cup. He looked to have a chance to break the streak in Sunday’s Daytona 500, his 20th start in the Great American Race. But with 15 laps to go and Busch riding in the top five, Joey Logano decided to get aggressive — and it cost him, Busch and a host of others.

Busch was looking to win the Daytona 500 for the first time in his career. Instead, he came away with a P34 finish. He took issue with Logano’s driving after being knocked from the race.

“Looks like the fastest car got in a hurry to get to the wreck,” Busch told FOX. “Logano was by far the fastest car today. Saw a lot of laps led and he could about do anything. The Penske cars were very strong. We still got 20 laps to go and he’s trying to go through the middle and make a hole that isn’t there. Just created chaos.”
