While we don’t have to worry about it for another year, NASCAR fans are skeptical of the new TV deal. Kyle Busch isn’t, though. Rowdy wasn’t sure at first. However, after looking at what the heyday of NASCAR broadcasts looked like, he thinks everything will be just fine.

For those who need a reminder, the 2025 TV deal is going to be much different. Streaming now plays a factor. Fox will still have the first part of the season, including the Daytona 500 and Busch Light Clash. Those first 14 races will belong to Fox.

Then, the next five races will be broadcast on Amazon Prime. The next five races after that will be on TNT and simulcast on B/R Sports on Max (formerly HBO Max). The final 14 races of the year will be broadcast by NBC Sports.

Once fans get it figured out, it should be just fine.

“It’s all about the financials, right?” Kyle Busch said to PRN’s Garage Pass. “TV runs our sport, live sports is where it’s at. It’s interesting though that you have the different partners now. It’s kinda good but it’s a little bit hard for the fanbase of like, ‘What network are we on this week?’ that sort of thing.

“Somebody put out a post of 1995, all the different broadcasts and switching every week and all that. I saw that, where it’s like, I don’t remember it being that bad, but yeah it was pretty bad. But with access this day and age, it’s not that hard. Come on, we’re all much more sophisticated than we were in the 90s of looking through the TV Guide.”

I think Kyle Busch is right here. Change is tough, but this will be good change.

Kyle Busch entering year two at RCR

Rowdy is going to be in his sophomore season at Richard Childress Racing this year. He’s ready to get things going again after a three-win season that fell apart in the playoffs. For a while, Busch looked like a real championship threat.

He is still south of 40 right now, so Kyle Busch has time. The two-time Cup Series champion likely has his eyes set on another hot start in 2024 like he had in 2023.

Let’s not forget that Busch finished second at the Busch Light Clash. Then, he was leading the Daytona 500 before it went into overtime. After NASCAR went out west to Fontana, he snagged his first win with RCR in a great performance.

This new Kyle Busch is fun, fans love him, and he’s still got some wins ahead of him. The move to RCR feels like it was the right decision with a year of evidence behind us. What tricks will he have up his sleeve for us in the new season?
