Kyle Busch drops expletive-filled interview on his way to second SRX Series win
This SRX Series is a lot of fun, even if you have to wait up late at night to catch it. Kyle Busch seems to have found a knack for it. Rowdy went out there and won his second SRX race of the season. He is now two for two in his career in the series and the NASCAR driver could be looking for more.
One thing that is a ton of fun about SRX, there are no spotters. Drivers are making moves on their own accord and hoping they are clear when they come up or down on their opponents. It is also fun when the broadcast booth calls down to a driver.
Joey Logano rang up Kyle Busch with 40 laps to go. Busch was in the middle of catching Brad Keselowski and fighting off Helio Castroneves. Logano thought he’d bother the two-time Cup Series champion.
“Yeah definitely a little cat and mouse right now,” Busch said when asked by Logano. “You’re just trying to modulate your gas but… Hearing you on my radio f***ing lights a fire under my ass.”
Kyle Busch doesn’t plan on racing any more SRX Series races this season. However, with two wins and a fun group of drivers to compete with, that might change. Rowdy just loves to race and if he likes racing in SRX he’ll find a way to get back.
It didn’t take Busch much longer after his in-race interview to grab the lead and never look back. Castroneves put up a really strong effort. However, it wouldn’t last as he lost tire grip and soon found himself falling to the rear of the field.

Kyle Busch focused on regular season championship
With four races between now and the playoffs, there aren’t many chances left for drivers. If you need a win to make the playoffs, you better do it now. If you need points, get them while you can. For Kyle Busch, the regular season championship would do a lot to help his hopes of being the Cup champion in November.
In the last three weeks, Busch has gone from runner-up in the standings to fifth overall. He is behind Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, William Byron, and Christopher Bell. The worst part is, he is 96 points down to Truex Jr. who currently leads.
It looks like it is out of his reach. However, road courses coming up might hand out some DNFs. Daytona is always a surprise at the end of the season.
Right now, it is a long shot for Kyle Busch to win the regular season championship and earn those bonus points for the playoffs It does feel like Busch is set for a strong run in the playoffs this year, though.
